Sayminder (“the App”) is a free voice-first reminder app for iPhone and iPad. Privacy is central to how we built it. This policy explains exactly what data is involved when you use Sayminder and, more importantly, what isn’t.

Your reminders, the text you speak, your scheduling, and text-to-speech all stay on your device. We operate no servers that receive your data.
What Data Is Collected
None. Sayminder has no user accounts, no analytics platform, no advertising SDK, and no tracking mechanism of any kind. We do not collect, store, or transmit personal information.
How the App Uses Data Locally
Microphone & Speech Recognition
When you grant microphone and speech-recognition permission, your speech is transcribed so it can become a reminder. Recognition prefers Apple’s on-device speech recognition when your language model is available; if that model is unavailable, the system’s default speech-recognition path is used to transcribe your audio. Sayminder does not send your audio or transcripts to any server we control.
Reminders & Notes
The reminders you create — their titles, notes, times, recurrence, and the original spoken transcript — are stored only on your device, in a shared app container so the app, its widget, and the Siri/Shortcuts intent can read one source of truth. They are never uploaded.
Calendar (Optional, Read-Only)
If you turn on Show calendar events, the app reads your system-calendar events to display them alongside your reminders. This access is read-only — Sayminder never creates, edits, or deletes calendar events — and the events are only read on your device to render the agenda. This layer is off until you enable it.
Scheduling & Text-to-Speech
Alarms, notifications, and spoken read-back are all handled on your device by the operating system’s frameworks. No scheduling data or spoken text is sent anywhere.
Permissions
Sayminder requests the following permissions:

No other permissions are requested: not camera, contacts, photos, health data, or location.
Third-Party Services
Sayminder does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. Speech recognition uses Apple’s on-device and system speech-recognition frameworks; scheduling and text-to-speech use Apple’s system frameworks. These run as part of the operating system on your device.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, license, or share your data with anyone. Sayminder does not generate network traffic that transmits your reminders, voice, transcripts, or calendar data.
Data Retention & Deletion
We store no data on our servers, so there is nothing to retain or delete. All information on your device (reminders, notes, transcripts, preferences) is removed the moment you delete the app.
Your Rights
Because we collect nothing, there is no personal data to access, correct, port, or erase on our end. You have complete control over everything stored locally by managing or removing the app.
Children’s Privacy
Sayminder does not collect information from anyone, including children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). Because no personal data is gathered, the app is safe for users of all ages.
International Users
Because Sayminder collects no personal data, no cross-border transfer of personal information occurs.
Changes to This Policy
If we update this policy, the revised version will be posted here with a new effective date. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
